Today we drove from Madison WI to Sioux Falls SD. It rained almost the entire drive and today was the first time that I did most of the driving...
We went from Wisconsin through Minnesota and when we first entered Minnesota I had high hopes for pretty scenery but things quickly flattened out and it was pretty much just flat land and silos. We arrived in Sioux Falls around 5pm and are staying at the Quality Inn which looks brand new and also looks like it was just plopped down in a corn field.
The only interesting thing we did today was to take another rec from the Roadfood book and went to dinner just south of Sioux Falls in Tea SD at a place called Tea Steak House. Their slogan is "Bring your sugar to tea"...how could you not love a place like that?? Our steaks were outstanding and the retro, small town atmosphere made it even better.
It's on to Mt Rushmore tomorrow.
